Bezielde
kunstenaars gezocht!
Anderhalf jaar geleden is de Thomas van Aquinokerk (Rijnstraat 93,
Amsterdam)
gekraakt. Op het moment bestaat de mogelijkheid dat het pand als
Rijks- dan wel als gemeentelijk monument wordt aangewezen. Het pand
is langzaamaan verworden tot een platform voor kunstzinnige en culturele
expressie. Er vinden performances plaats, er is een expositieruimte
en het pand biedt ruimte aan ateliers.
Een aantal ateliers staan momenteel leeg. Dit is dan ook een oproep
aan kunstenaars die bij ons een atelier willen betrekken en deel
uit willen maken van ons collectief. Omdat het een collectief betreft
in een vrijplaats dat zich ten doel heeft gesteld het pand te behoeden
voor sloop en bezig is een broedplaats te ontwikkelen, zoeken we
een bepaald type kunstenaar, die zich
tevens voor deze zaken in wil zetten.
Profieleisen:
- communicatief vaardig
- geinspireerd door het leven
- daadkrachtig/ pragmatische instelling
- maatschappelijk geangageerd naast individuele kunstontwikkeling
- affiniteit met een broed(plaats)beleid culturele doelstellingen
en TVAK
- didaktisch/ autodidactisch
- eigenzinnig
- beeldend, visueel georienteerd
- contact met publiek niet schuwend, dmv open atelier, expositie
mogelijkheid, eventueel organiseren van expositie...etc
Wij bieden:
- atelier (5x5x5) huurprijs: natura
- unieke gelegenheid deel te nemen in de ontwikkeling van een broedplaats
- ons broedbeleid stimuleert samenwerkingsverbanden tussen betrokken
kunstenaars, zowel gasten als vaste gebruikers
- faciliteiten ter beschikking: wc, badkamer, douche, pc-platform,
keuken, donkere kamer

Inspired Artists
About
a year and a half ago, the Thomas Aquino Church(Rijnstraat 93, Amsterdam)
was squatted. Inhabitants and artists are now in the process of getting
it acknowledged
as a monument. Over the last 18 month the church has turned into a
platform for artistic and cultural expression. Performances are taking place
on a regular basis; there is a beautiful exhibition hall and there several
working spaces. A few of these are vacant at this moment. That is why we are
looking for inspired dedicated (visual) artists(m/f) who want to be part of
a collective that has committed itself to save the church from demolition and
turn it into a thriving artistic and cultural centre.
You are...
communicative, practical, willing to work, pragmatic, open minded,
politically
interested (churchmatters) as well as globally, open towards the public,
creative, didactic, positive, cooperative.
We
offer:
a very cheap studio, cooperation with gifted artists, use of collective facilities
like toilet, kitchen, dark room(photography), etc, the opportunity to be part
of a social (international) collective.
